Retired OKC Fire Fighters Endorse David Holt for Mayor
The Oklahoma City Retired Fire Fighters Association is endorsing David Holt to be the next Mayor of Oklahoma City. This follows the previously announced endorsement of Holt by the active fire fighters in May.
The Oklahoma City Retired Fire Fighters Association has over 1,000 members and voted to endorse David Holt after meeting with both mayoral candidates.
“David is experienced, professional, and devoted to Oklahoma City,” said George Fina, President of the Oklahoma City Retired Fire Fighters Association. “As people who dedicated our careers to this city, we can relate to that devotion, and we respect it. We feel we can work with David on the issues that are important to us, and we will work to make sure he is the next Mayor of Oklahoma City.”
“I am honored to receive the support of our retired fire fighters,” said Holt. “We are grateful for all they did in their careers to keep our citizens safe, and they deserve a peaceful retirement that reflects our gratitude. I look forward to working with them as Mayor.”
This endorsement continues the remarkable momentum of Holt’s candidacy, which has already received public support from hundreds of Oklahoma City citizens from all walks of life. The election to choose Oklahoma City’s next Mayor will be held February 13, 2018.
